Optional full day tour of the magnificent city of Istanbul visiting the historical part, the Hagia Sophia Basilica, the culmination of Byzantine art, and the pearl of Istanbul; we will also visit the famous Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans for four centuries, including the treasury and the sacred relics.
At noon we will enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant in the Sultanahmet area and continue with a visit to the Blue Mosque, a prodigy of harmony, proportion and elegance; and the Hippodrome which preserves the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, the Fountain of Emperor Wilhelm and the Egyptian Obelisk. At the end of the afternoon we will visit the famous Grand Bazaar where we will enjoy free time to lose ourselves among its 4 thousand stores. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start our route riding a modern cable car installed at the base of a hill in the EYÜP neighborhood, which will take us to the wonderful Pierre Loti’s Café. This place is a magical location in the hills of the Eyüp district of Istanbul, a picturesque place from whose terraces you can contemplate breathtaking views over the Golden Horn and the neighborhoods of the city. We will continue our visit with one of the essential places: The Süleymaniye Mosque or Suleymaniye Mosque, built between 1550 and 1558 in honor of one of the richest and most powerful Ottoman sultans in history. The mosque is considered the most representative work of Islamic art.
Inside, it stands out for its simplicity, its exceptional Iznik tiles, its precious stained glass windows that project an immense light through its 138 windows and its imposing columns. Its huge courtyard is the first stone of a complex of buildings that included baths, hospices, madrasas and even a cemetery where the tombs of Sultan Suleiman himself and his wife Hürrem, among other members of the family stand out.
After lunch, we will visit the Cistern of Theodosius, which was built by the Byzantine Emperor Theodosius II between 428 and 443 to store the water brought by the Valens Aqueduct. Transfer to the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for one of the most famous activities in Istanbul, a boat ride on the Bosphorus, the channel that separates Europe and Asia. During this trip you will appreciate the palaces of the Sultans, old and typical wooden houses and enjoy the history in a different way. We will culminate our visit with one of the star visits, the spice bazaar, built by the Ottomans 5 centuries ago and used since then. Our visit ends at the Bazaar where you can enjoy its atmosphere and variety of stores. We continue our journey after the tour to the city of Ankara. Arrival at CHECK INN hotel. Dinner and overnight.

We will visit the open-air museum of the valley of Göreme, an incredible Byzantine monastic complex composed of churches carved into the rock with beautiful frescoes. Then panoramic visit to the valleys of Cappadocia, (the Avcilar Valley, the valley of love and Gόvercinlik) where you can admire the best view of the volcanic forms called “fairy chimneys”.
We will visit the typical stores of carpets or pottery and stones of Onyx and Turquoise. Optional: Possibility to visit one of the famous subway cities in Cappadocia with its underground levels. Transfer to the hotel and dinner. After dinner possibility to make an optional visit, to participate in a show of folkloric dances in a typical cave with unlimited regional drinks. Breakfast and early departure to Konya capital of the Seleucid sultans where we will visit the mausoleum of Mevlana, poet and philosopher who founded the mystical and religious sect of the Dancing Dervishes. Continuation of the trip to Pamukkale, arrival and visit of Pamukkale, natural wonder of gigantic white waterfall, stalactites and natural pools from hot springs. Rest of the day at leisure. Visit to the famous cotton castle, a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of water laden with calcareous salts from hot springs. Continuation to Ephesus, the best preserved ancient city of Asia Minor during the І and ІІІ centuries had a population of 250,000 inhabitants, monopolized the wealth of the Middle East. We will visit Hadrian’s Temple, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon, the Theater, etc. In the afternoon we will visit a leather workshop where we can see the famous leather weavings of the Aegean region. Starting from the port of Vathi, the harbor of the city of Samos, we will head west across the grandiose northern coast of the island, to our right we can admire the infinite blue of the Aegean Sea and the borders of Turkey, to your left on the other hand
the dominating hills and vineyards of the region. After about 45 minutes drive we will reach the town of Karlovasi, the second largest town of the island where once we get off the bus we will walk through the town to the old center called Karlovassia, having the opportunity to admire the countless streets and the funny little houses. We continue and after 15 minutes we will stop at the village of Kokkari.
One of the most beautiful destinations of Samos, with its pretty little houses, cafes and stores. We will have the opportunity to go shopping, walk around its narrow streets, see its beautiful churches and the small beaches. After free time we return to the town of Samos. The months between March and October are best for visiting Istanbul and the Mediterranean coasts.
