Day by Day itinerary

Day 1:

Last call for passengers flying to Cairo! As soon as you land in the Egyptian capital, we will help you arrange your visa so that you can board a flight to Luxor without any problems. The flight takes only one hour between the two cities. From the airport we will take you by motorboat to the banks of the sacred river of the pharaohs, ready for an unforgettable 4-night all-inclusive Nile cruise!

Day 2:

Ochre, reddish, orange, scarlet… The sunrise in Luxor is a natural spectacle that we can admire from the decks of the boat. The cruise will dock on the east bank of the Nile so we can enjoy a guided tour of the Temple of Karnak. Its exciting history will captivate us from the very first moment. We will also immerse ourselves in the fascinating past of Pharaonic Egypt by visiting the Temple of Luxor, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Hatshepsut, whose colossal dimensions never cease to amaze us. After the visit, we will return to the ship for lunch and continue the journey to Edfu.

Day 3:

The Temple of Horus, at Edfu, hides many secrets about the falcon god. By visiting this archaeological site on the west bank of the Nile, we will enter one of the most fascinating (and at the same time most enigmatic) periods for Egyptologists. Then, to complete the pieces that make up the puzzle of ancient Egypt, we will sail to the east bank of the “sacred river of the gods” to visit another outstanding archaeological site, Kom Ombo, and see the Temples of Sobek and Haroeris. We will continue this unforgettable cruise on the Nile, sailing to the southern city of Aswan.

Important: the tour of Edfu will be done by horse-drawn carriage. In case you do not wish to do the tour by horse-drawn carriage, you can inform the guide the day before so that another transport can be arranged for 15 € (16.20 USD) per person.

Day 4:

This day will be dedicated to the island of the Temple of Philae, we will board an Egyptian falucca to reach the island. After discovering unfathomable secrets inside this exceptional ruin declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will return to the cruise ship.

Day 5:

After breakfast, the Nile cruise will come to an end, but there are still many surprises and attractions to discover. First, we will head from Aswan to the symbolic Abu Simbel Temple. The stone giants with the busts of Ramses II are not the only emblems inside the temple. The giant sculptures carved in the annex of the Temple of Nefertari are also important. After enjoying free time in the afternoon, we will attend a dinner with a sound and light show over Abu Simbel.

The day will end as we began with a 3-day cruise on Lake Nasser.

Day 6:

Qasr Ibrim, the citadel on the shores of Lake Nasser, will be the first stop on a tour. Then, we will continue with a visit to the Temple of Amada, considered the oldest Egyptian ruin in Nubia. To complete the day, we will also visit the Temple of Derr and the ruins of the tomb of Pennut, a prominent governor in the time of Ramses IV (12th century BC). His story will accompany us on our return to the ship.

Day 7:

We will continue this all-inclusive cruise on Lake Nasser to Wadi el Sebowa to visit the Temples of Dakka and Mahrakka, places full of mystery! Then, we will return to the ship for lunch and head towards Aswan.

Day 8:

We will disembark at Kalabsha Temple Island to see the remains of the Temple of Kertasi, whose history, like that of many of the ancient buildings in this area of Egypt, is not without legend. After the tour of the island, we will drive to the nearby Aswan airport for a flight to Cairo – in just an hour and a half, we will be in the Egyptian capital! From the terminal, we will go to a hotel in the city to rest until the next day.

Day 9:

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the famous Pyramids of Giza. Finally, one of the highlights of the tour arrives, the imposing mausoleums of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. We will visit the interior of the latter to learn more about the pompous funeral rites of the ancient pharaohs, as well as the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza.

After the 3-hour guided tour of Giza, we will break for lunch at a local restaurant. We will then drive to the necropolis of ancient Saqqara to visit the pyramid of Zoser. To end the day, we will enjoy dinner at a restaurant in Cairo before returning to the hotel.

Day 10:

We will dedicate this day to a tour of Cairo. The tour includes the Egyptian Museum, the Coptic Quarter, the Saladin Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque. This unforgettable memory of the Egyptian capital will be completed with lunch and dinner at a local restaurant!

Day 11:

Three hours before your flight departure, we will take you to the airport in Cairo so that you can check-in and board without any hassle or rush.
