Good morning! After breakfast at your hotel in Amman, we will depart for the first visit of our 8-day tour package. We will head almost 400 meters (1,312 feet) below sea level to swim in this incredible salt lake and take advantage of the outdoor facilities on Amman’s beach.
After visiting this remarkable site in the Middle East, we will return to Amman, where you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel – good night!
After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Madaba. Upon arrival, we will visit the Church of St. George and see its famous mosaic. This spectacular work of art depicts the biblical territories and is the first map of its kind to depict Palestine.
We will continue to Mount Nebo, the peak from which Moses first saw the Promised Lands according to the Holy Scriptures. Our next stop will be Shobak Castle, an imposing fortress built by the Crusaders in the early 12th century.
Our day will end in Petra, where you will have dinner at the hotel and settle in for the night.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the day exploring Petra.
More than 2,000 years ago, the Nabataeans chose the Rose City as the capital of their empire. For 500 years, they built beautiful temples and tombs in the pink mountains and installed advanced agricultural and water transportation systems.
When you arrive at the entrance to the Petra Visitor Center, you will have the option to hop on horseback and take a short half-mile (0.8 kilometers) ride. While the guide explains some of the history to the rest of the group, you will trot to the Siq with your horse.
Our tour will begin at the Obelisk Tomb and continue through the Al-Siq Canyon, leading us to the jewel of the city: the Treasury of Petra. We will admire this colossal tomb and how it is decorated with columns and sculptures.
We will then stroll along the Street of Facades and pass the theater on our way up the 850 steps to the huge Deir Monastery.
After a fantastic day exploring Petra, we will return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Rise and shine! We will have breakfast at the hotel and then head to the Wadi Rum Desert. On our fifth day, we will explore this desert and also visit Little Petra.
When we arrive in the Wadi Rum Desert, you can enjoy a thrilling jeep ride and experience an unforgettable adrenaline rush. As you explore the desert, you will admire its pink sands and uniquely shaped granite massifs.
You will end the day with dinner at the camp before resting in your Bedouin tent.
After breakfast in Wadi Rum, we will start our journey back to Amman. Once we are back in Amman, you will have dinner at the hotel and a well-deserved rest.
Let’s explore Amman! We will visit the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum and the Roman Theater as we take a tour through the history of the city.
Then, we will head north to Jerash, a Greco-Roman city also known as the “Pompeii of the East” due to its importance and well-preserved condition. We will admire the following monuments: Hadrian’s Gate, the Hippodrome, the Theater, the Agora or forum with its complete colonnade, the Cardo Maximus, the Temple of Zeus and the Temple of Artemis.
The tour will then take us to Aljoun Castle, a fortress that was built in 1185 and then rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after it was destroyed by the Mongols. This Crusader-era castle is located on the top of a mountain, from where we will enjoy breathtaking views.
We will then return to Amman for dinner and overnight.
After enjoying a last breakfast in Amman, it will be time to say goodbye. We will accompany you to the airport so you can catch your flight back home – have a good trip!
